BWS Minuteman, CV-03
The BWS Minuteman is a Durango-class Heavy Destroyer that was converted by the Border Worlds Militia to serve as a light carrier. Formerly the TCS Tlaxcala, the Minuteman was launched in 2646 and sold to the Border Worlds in 2659 after being decommissioned by Confed. She is 18 years old.
The Minuteman normally embarks a flight wing of 48, however due to sustained losses and lack of replacements, the number of pilots is well below that. There are no uniform flight squadrons, as there aren't twelve fighters of the same type aboard the ship. Often, unused fighters are cannibalized by the techs for spare parts. Many of the fighters are obsolete and are rarely in a state of complete readiness.
The pilots and technicians sleep in makeshift barracks in the cavernous fighter storage pen under the flight deck. There is no bar and no rec room, although the large space between the barracks is sometimes used as an exercise area and homebrewed liquor can sometimes be found circulating around the ship.
The ship is too old, the fighters are too old, and the pilots are too young. Enjoy. ;P
